<p>Thanks for trying Stylizer.</p>
<p>The Internet Explorer plugin in Stylizer is sharing a cache with
your standalone Internet Explorer browser; Stylizer does not have
its own separate cache for this browser. However, note that the CSS
that appears in the Code Grid <em>has been downloaded by Stylizer
independently from the browser itself</em>; these HTTP requests are
completely insulated from the browser's cache. If you are receiving
an old version of your CSS upon pressing Revert, it is almost
surely what is being sent by your web server and not something
stuck in a local cache.</p>
<p>It's possible that your web server is appending a hard-coded
version number to the URL of the CSS file when it outputs your
HTML. This strategy is usually what you want when you are working
with a non-realtime editor (i.e. outside of Stylizer) because it
ensures that you are always getting the latest version of the CSS
<em>when you refresh the page</em>. But in Stylizer, where it is
unnecessary to refresh the page while you're working on CSS, it
means that the Revert feature—which reloads the CSS file from
its original URL—is going to reload the CSS file by using a
URL which includes the hard-coded version number that was present
when the page itself was first loaded. Does that make sense?</p>
<p>If this is the case, you may need to refresh the webpage (by
pressing F5 or clicking the spinning arrow on the right side of the
address bar) before you do a Revert to ensure that you are getting
the newest version of the CSS file.</p>
<p>If that doesn't do it, I'd need to take a look at your website.
To diagnose further.</p>
<p>Also if I may suggest that installing <a href="http://fiddler2.com">fiddler</a> is usually a good way to figure
out these sorts of problems. Fiddler is a free program that
captures HTTP requests as they go over the wire, allowing you to
see exactly what is being requested and returned. Fiddler is a
little wonky over HTTPS though because it injects its own SSL
certificate, so it may not work in this particular case, but it's a
good tool to have in your belt and worth a try.</p></div>Andrewtag:service.skybound.ca,2010-06-18:Comment/417498632017-01-16T18:14:45Z2017-01-16T18:14:45ZSOLVED - REVERT / CSS Flushing not working - Stylizer 6 (v6.16.1128.806 / Windows 10 Pro)<div><p>Hi Andrew,</p>
<p>Thank you for your quick response.</p>
<p>That solved it!</p>
<p>As you said it was the main <strong>Internet Explorer</strong>
that was holding the cached files.</p>
<p>Once I flushed the standalone Internet Explorer browser's cache
and then refreshed <strong>Stylizer</strong> by pressing
<strong>F5</strong> the latest version of the CSS was downloaded
from the actual server.</p>
<p>Thank you Andrew for pointing me in the right direction. : )</p>
<p>Kind regards.<br>
