Thanks for your interest in Stylizer. We have had a flurry of
false positive reports like this from customers over the past 72
hours. I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing. If you
add an exception for Stylizer6Setup.exe, you should be able to
install and run it as usual.

We have had trouble with AV false positives for nearly a decade.
Last year, after spending months rewriting Stylizer's packaging
engine—a large part of the motivation for that rewrite was to
prevent Stylizer from being identified as a false positive—we
were virus-clean according to the 56 scanning engines on
virustotal.com. Now it seems like we are going back to the drawing
board.

If the executable is digitally signed with our code signing
certificate (Skybound Research Inc.), you can be sure the file came
from us and that it is in fact virus-free.

Andrewtag:service.skybound.ca,2010-06-18:Comment/419852852017-02-19T00:46:35Z2017-03-06T14:45:28ZWhile downloading, Norton Security reports that Styilzer6Setup.exe is unsafe and removes it

OK - I used Norton to restore the file. It on my hard disk.

When I ran Stylizer6Setup.exe, Norton reported that it had a
virus, Trojan.Gen.8, and wouldn't allow it to install.

The property value of the file shows it was digitally signed by
Skybound Research Inc. dated November 28, 2016.

So, is this file really safe and I should ignore Norton's
precautions?

Thanks,

I have exactly the same issue with the download.
I tries to force Norton to ignore it as a thread but I couldn't
find a way to allow Stylizer to run on my computer with Norton
installed.
Every time I say Norton to ignore, the Setting is overwritten next
time.

No solution for that yet.

Ralftag:service.skybound.ca,2010-06-18:Comment/419852852017-02-22T09:55:09Z2017-03-06T14:45:28ZWhile downloading, Norton Security reports that Styilzer6Setup.exe is unsafe and removes it

Hello,
